Dr. Baez-Torres is board certified in internal medicine, and the only female physician formally trained in movement disorders in Central Florida. She is a medical staff member of the Florida Hospital Neuroscience Institute and is fluent in English and Spanish. Dr Baez-Torres was born and raised in Puerto Rico and received her medical degree from Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.  She completed residencies in neurology at the University of Connecticut, School of Medicine and at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine in Miami, Florida. She went on to complete a fellowship in both electromyography and movement disorders from the Cleveland Clinic Florida, in Weston, Florida.

She and the staff at Neurology Specialists of Central Florida provide comprehensive neurological care, including, general neurology, movement disorders, electromyography, nerve conduction studies, deep brain stimulation and Botulinum toxin therapy. Dr. Baez-Torres has special interests in Parkinson's disease and other parkinsonian syndromes, restless legs syndrome, essential tremor, among others.
